Registered Nurse (RGN) – Care Home – Glasgow

About the role

As a Registered Nurse (RGN) in a Barchester care home in Glasgow, you will provide holistic care to residents, addressing their physical, psychological and social needs. You will create a safe, supportive environment and use your professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review individualised care plans for each resident.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (DoLs/MCA, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines).
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Provide day‑to‑day nursing care, monitoring health status and responding to changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality resident care.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of clinical best practices.
• Experience in producing comprehensive care plans and risk assessments.
• Understanding of DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Compassionate, person‑centred approach to nursing.
