Registered Nurse/Paramedic – Forensic Custody (Full/Part Time)

About the role

Mountain Healthcare Limited is seeking experienced Registered Nurses or Paramedics to join its forensic custody team in Lower Earley. You will work autonomously within police custody suites, providing clinical care, safeguarding, and forensic support to detainees.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments to determine fitness for detention and provide acute medical care.
• Interview, charge, and release detainees, responding to medical emergencies.
• Collect and preserve forensic samples, document injuries and maintain accurate clinical and evidential records.
• Support safeguarding decisions and collaborate with police, NHS and partner agencies.
• Provide healthcare advice and contribute to safe decision‑making within custody.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RGN) or Paramedic qualification.
• Minimum three years’ experience in an acute clinical setting.
• Ability to work independently and make rapid clinical decisions.
• Willingness to work in police custody environments without prior forensic experience.
