Registered Service Manager – Children’s Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Service Manager to lead a new children’s residential care home. You will be responsible for safeguarding, delivering high‑quality care and creating a stable, nurturing environment for vulnerable young people aged 8‑17 with emotional and behavioural needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding care.
• Ensure the home meets all Ofsted regulations and achieves at least a “Good” rating.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment and oversee care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding processes.
• Manage budgets, staffing rotas and day‑to‑day operational procedures.
• Liaise with local authorities, schools, health professionals and external agencies.

Required profile

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Minimum two years’ experience in a management role within a children’s residential setting.
• Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
