Regulatory Compliance Manager

About the role

Equals Money is seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to join its team in the UK. You will act as a subject‑matter specialist, executing regulatory processes, monitoring compliance tasks and helping to embed a strong compliance culture across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Support Senior Regulatory Compliance Managers and the Head of Regulatory Compliance in executing the compliance roadmap.
• Manage regulatory change projects and provide independent second‑line review and challenge to business units.
• Deliver high‑quality compliance advice on UK payment services, electronic money, AML/CTF and data protection regulations.
• Develop and maintain training material, policies and procedures related to compliance.
• Monitor regulatory developments, report incidents to authorities and liaise with external advisors.
• Act as a role model for junior team members and promote a culture focused on customer and regulatory outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance within financial services, preferably payments.
• Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks such as Payment Services Regulations 2017, Electronic Money Regulations, AML/CTF and GDPR.
• Experience drafting and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills across all stakeholder levels.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ICA, CAMS) and familiarity with a three‑line‑of‑defence model are a plus.
