Regulatory Manager (UK/EU) – Food & Supplement Compliance

About the role

THG Nutrition is seeking a Regulatory Manager with deep expertise in UK and EU food and supplement regulations. Reporting to the Senior Regulatory Manager, you will ensure product compliance and support international market growth across THG’s portfolio of nutrition brands.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert on UK/EU food and supplement legislation, advising cross‑functional teams.
• Lead and develop a small team of Regulatory Associates.
• Provide regulatory support for new product development, reviewing formulations for compliance.
• Approve labels, packaging, website content, advertising, and marketing materials.
• Ensure nutrition and health claims meet regulatory standards.
• Manage EU supplement notifications and registrations.
• Monitor regulatory updates, conduct risk assessments and horizon scanning.
• Support BRCGS audits, quality systems and act as regulatory lead within HACCP activities.
• Update policies, create training materials and deliver internal training.
• Investigate customer complaints and labelling discrepancies, implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality, Marketing, Brand, Supply Chain, Commercial and NPD teams to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Food Technology, Food Law, Food Safety or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of EU food legislation covering labelling, claims, additives, contaminants, novel foods, packaging and food safety.
• Experience interpreting regulations across multiple EU markets.
• Ability to assess regulatory impact on products and business decisions.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Commercial awareness with a balanced approach to compliance and business objectives.
