Relationship Director – Mid Markets (Milton Keynes)

About the role

We are looking for a Relationship Director to manage a Mid‑Markets portfolio (turnover £50m‑£500m) across the Midlands and East England. Based in Milton Keynes, you will work in a hybrid model, spending at least two days a week in the office, and will be responsible for delivering tailored financing solutions to a diverse set of corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Originate new‑to‑bank opportunities, focusing on debt transactions and leveraging a network of introducers.
• Build and maintain relationships with private‑equity firms, debt advisers, accountants and lawyers to sustain a robust pipeline.
• Understand client strategies and funding needs to structure competitive debt solutions.
• Drive balance‑sheet growth by increasing share‑of‑wallet with existing and new clients.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, terms and structure while aligning with risk appetite and return objectives.
• Maintain high‑profile client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.

Required profile

• Proven track record of growing a Mid‑Markets client base within the UK banking sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to assess complex financing requirements.
• Excellent networking skills with experience working with private‑equity and advisory professionals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a high‑performing team.
