Reliability Engineer – Condition Monitoring

About the role

Join British Engineering Services Group as a Condition Monitoring Engineer within the Asset Reliability team. You will use advanced condition‑based maintenance techniques to keep our customers' assets operating safely and efficiently across the North East England and South Scotland region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography and oil analysis to support condition‑based maintenance.
• Collect and analyse equipment performance, failure data and corrective maintenance history.
• Assess machine performance, produce reports and recommend improvement actions.
• Specify, install and commission online, wireless or remote sensors.
• Deliver a high level of customer service while representing the company professionally.

Required profile

• Engineering background in marine, rail or manufacturing environments.
• Level 1 Vibration Analysis certification or working towards it.
• Experience or knowledge of vibration analysis and condition‑monitoring hardware/software.
• Mechanical engineering qualification (Level 3 or higher) is highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel and work away from base as required.
• Full UK driving licence.
