Relief Care Assistant – Flexible Shifts in Kendal

About the role
We are looking for a Relief Care Assistant to join our team at McCarthy & Stone’s Wainwright Court development in Kendal. You will provide compassionate, person‑centred support to residents in a modern, on‑site setting, with no travel between locations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and toileting.
- Organise and facilitate daily activities and social events.
- Book appointments and coordinate outings, including escorting residents.
- Provide flexible coverage across day, evening and weekend shifts throughout the year.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate any concerns to senior staff.
Required profile
- Warm, friendly and passionate about the wellbeing of older adults.
- Minimum age 18 and a valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to learn; prior care experience is helpful but not essential.
- Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification is advantageous.
