Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor

About the role

Breedon Group is looking for a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor to oversee the production of ready‑mix concrete and screeds across several sites in the Milton Keynes area. You will travel between up to six plants, supporting daily operations and ensuring safe, efficient output.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the day‑to‑day running of multiple ready‑mix concrete plants using a computerised batching system.
• Travel between sites, providing backup and support during busy periods.
• Operate loading shovels to restock storage bins and handle aggregate deliveries.
• Carry out daily safety checks on critical equipment and record checks in line with environmental permits.
• Communicate near‑misses or hazards to Health & Safety and line management.
• Ensure production meets customer specifications and technical standards.
• Manage material stocks and reorder supplies from approved vendors.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel across the Milton Keynes, Bicester, Oxford, Northampton, Bedford, Luton, Biggleswade, Leighton Buzzard, Aylesbury, Banbury, Towcester, Wellingborough area.
• Flexibility to work 48 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings.
• Ability to operate plant equipment safely and follow health & safety procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with computerised batching systems for concrete production.
• Loading shovel operation.
• Material stock management and re‑ordering.
