Relief Conference & Events Manager (Part‑time, £16/hr)

About the role

This is a hands‑on relief position supporting a busy events‑led hotel. You will lead weddings, conferences and private functions, ensuring each runs smoothly while maintaining high service standards. The role offers an immediate start and weekly pay.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of conferences, weddings and hotel events.
• Lead, brief and support the conference and events team during service.
• Liaise with clients, guests, kitchen, F&B and hotel operations teams.
• Ensure event spaces are set up correctly according to function sheets.
• Manage timings, service standards and guest expectations.
• Support food and beverage service where required and resolve live event issues calmly and professionally.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Conference and Events Manager, Banqueting Manager or senior Conference and Events Supervisor.
• Strong background in hotel events, conferences or banqueting.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a busy hospitality environment.
• Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail.
• Calm, professional and hands‑on approach.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to travel to the hotel easily.
