Relief Support Worker – Supported Living Service

About the role

We are looking for calm, resourceful and energetic Relief Support Workers to join our team at Swanway, an independent supported living service in Gateshead. You will help individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and physical disabilities enjoy daily activities and achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care and administer medication safely.
• Support service users in community outings such as discos, swimming and cinema trips.
• Act as a Key Worker, assisting individuals in planning and reaching their aspirations.
• Maintain accurate records, carry out administrative duties and assist with housing management tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Positive, person‑centred attitude with strong communication skills.
• Energetic, reliable and able to work well within a team.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Medication administration.
• Personal care provision.
