Religious Education Teacher – Full‑time (Swale, Kent)

About the role
We are looking for a passionate Religious Education (RE) teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Swale area. The role is full‑time, starting in September 2026, and offers the chance to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore beliefs, values and ethical issues.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion and respect for diverse world‑views.
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in line with school policies.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
- Promote SMSC development across the curriculum.
- Participate in whole‑school activities, assemblies and enrichment events.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for RE.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and high teaching standards.
