Religious Education Teacher – Secondary School (Bradford)

About the role

The school in Bradford is seeking a passionate Religious Education Teacher to join its secondary department from September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging RE lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver RE curriculum in line with the National Curriculum and school syllabus.
• Facilitate discussions on religious beliefs, ethics, philosophy and contemporary issues.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support GCSE preparation.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom that promotes respect and critical thinking.
• Contribute to the wider Humanities department through enrichment activities and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy or related field.
• Proven experience teaching RE at secondary level in the UK.
• Strong classroom management and safeguarding commitment.
• Experience with GCSE RE is highly desirable; A‑Level experience is an advantage.
