About the role

Academics is seeking a passionate Religious Education (RE) teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Leeds. The successful candidate will start in September 2026 and will work with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop a deep understanding of religious beliefs and values.

Key responsibilities

Maintain classroom discipline and enforce the school’s behaviour policy.
Deliver high‑quality RE lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
Collaborate with colleagues, share ideas and contribute to the development of the RE curriculum.
Create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing their religious perspectives.

Required profile

Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
A relevant degree in Religious Education or a related field.
DBS check on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
