Relocation Manager – Hybrid (London Borough of Harrow)

About the role

The London Borough of Harrow is looking for an experienced Relocation Manager to join its Housing Services team on a hybrid basis (two days onsite). This temporary position, lasting 3‑6 months with the possibility of extension, offers a pay rate of £32.45 per hour under an umbrella arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate relocation, decant and regeneration moves for affected residents.
• Serve as the main point of contact for tenants, leaseholders and external partners throughout the relocation journey.
• Provide clear advice on housing options, entitlements and support services.
• Manage decant programmes, ensuring moves are carried out efficiently and sensitively.
• Liaise with housing management, legal teams, contractors and other stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records, monitor progress and produce reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation, council policies and best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in housing relocation, decanting, homelessness, regeneration or housing management.
• Strong knowledge of relevant housing legislation and local authority procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with diverse resident groups.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage complex cases and a varied caseload.
• Organisational skills and attention to detail.
