Remediation Engineer – Environmental Consultancy

About the role
We are seeking a Remediation Engineer to join a leading environmental consultancy in Warrington. The role involves supporting the design, management and delivery of remediation schemes for contaminated land and brownfield redevelopment projects across the North West.
Key responsibilities
- Assist delivery of remediation projects from planning through to completion.
- Support development of remediation strategies and remedial design solutions.
- Supervise remediation contractors and site‑based activities.
- Undertake site assessments and interpret environmental and geological data.
- Prepare technical reports, remediation verification reports and risk assessments.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, regulators and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Support project management activities, including programme and budget monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and health & safety requirements.
- Contribute to successful delivery of contaminated land and brownfield redevelopment projects.
Required profile
- Experience as a Remediation Engineer, Geo‑Environmental Engineer, Environmental Engineer or similar contaminated land role.
- Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- Good understanding of contaminated land legislation and remediation techniques.
- Experience supporting remediation projects and site‑based works.
- Strong report writing and technical interpretation skills.
