Remote DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes – Defence Tech – £50k

About the role

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑paced defence‑tech Platform as a Service (PaaS) team. Working remotely, you will become a subject‑matter expert in Kubernetes while supporting secure, multi‑cloud environments for Ministry of Defence contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise Kubernetes‑driven platforms for defence applications.
• Deploy, manage and monitor containerised workloads across GKE and other cloud providers.
• Integrate secure platform tooling and automate CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional experts to transition projects from global enterprises.
• Provide on‑call support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Active SC clearance or ability to obtain it.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong understanding of Docker and Google Cloud Platform services.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and travel occasionally to Bristol.
