Repairs Specialist (Plumber)

About the role

As a Repairs Specialist with The Hyde Group you will be based in Havant, covering Chichester and Portsmouth, delivering day‑to‑day repairs and maintenance for social‑housing residents. You will work on a variety of tasks, from plumbing to general upkeep, while providing a friendly, professional service in customers' homes.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out multi‑trade repairs including plumbing, carpentry, plastering and general maintenance.
• Fix everyday issues such as doors, kitchens, bathrooms, leaks, walls and flooring.
• Complete patch plastering, minor tiling, painting and other finishing works.
• Follow work orders, record progress and material usage, and report back to the team.
• Work safely at all times, adhering to Hyde’s health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with other trades when required and operate independently on assigned jobs.

Required profile

• Solid experience across multiple trades, especially plumbing.
• Confident use of hand and power tools.
• Practical problem‑solver with a customer‑friendly attitude.
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands‑on work.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Experience in social housing is desirable but not mandatory.
