Research & Development Pharmacist (Part‑time, 12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated pharmacist to join our Research & Development team on a part‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term basis. You will support the successful set‑up and delivery of clinical trials involving investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs) and work closely with sponsors, CROs and research teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the set‑up and delivery of CTIMPs, ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Review sponsor documentation and collaborate with sponsors, CROs and research teams.
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, guidelines and procedures for R&D.
• Provide pharmaceutical advice and support for all CTIMPs.
• Deliver training sessions on IMP management and GCP.
• Participate in CTIMP meetings, R&D service development and audit/monitoring visits.
• Deputise for the R&D Pharmacy Lead when required.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist with experience in clinical trial pharmacy or related settings.
• High attention to detail and ability to work to GCP standards.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) knowledge.
• Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) handling and management.
• Clinical trial pharmacy support.
