Research Intern – AI & Machine Learning

About the role

The Research Intern will join a world‑class, cross‑disciplinary AI research centre in Cambridge, working alongside senior researchers and engineers on cutting‑edge projects that span vision‑language, foundation models, and physical AI.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research on state‑of‑the‑art AI problems and propose novel challenges.
• Develop high‑quality, reproducible code and documentation for open‑source release.
• Collaborate with lab teams to integrate research outcomes into real‑world case studies.
• Publish findings in top conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, or ACL.
• Contribute to patent filings and technology transfer activities.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing (or about to complete) a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, optimization, and parallel/distributed computing.
• At least one first‑author paper in a leading AI conference or journal.
