Reservations Agent

About the role

As a Reservations Agent at Ibis Cambridge Central Station, you will be the first point of contact for guests, guiding them through the booking process and ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience from inquiry to check‑in.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest enquiries via phone, email and other channels.
• Advise guests on room options to maximise booking potential and satisfaction.
• Manage reservations, including changes, cancellations and special requests.
• Record guest preferences and communicate them to relevant hotel departments.
• Collaborate with front‑office teams to optimise occupancy and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure accurate reservation details and smooth check‑ins for every guest.

Required profile

• Previous experience in reservations or a similar hospitality office role.
• Familiarity with Opera Cloud or comparable reservation systems (a plus).
• Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance and a passion for hospitality.
• Flexibility with working hours and adaptability to changing needs.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a bonus.
