Reserving Actuary

About the role

This position is with a leading global (re)insurance organisation based in London. The Reserving Actuary will provide expert reserving analysis across UK and European business lines, supporting key decisions and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quarterly reserve reviews and produce detailed analysis of reserve movements.
• Support board and regulatory reporting with accurate financial performance data.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance and risk teams to shape reserving methodologies.
• Drive process‑improvement, automation and model‑development projects.
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• FIA‑qualified actuary with strong London Market reserving experience.
• Solid understanding of P&C (re)insurance principles.
• Commercially aware and able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, collaborative and strong project‑management capabilities.
