Reserving Lead

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑regarded London market insurer and shape reserving strategy across a complex, multi‑line business. You will work closely with senior finance, underwriting and risk stakeholders, delivering robust reserve analyses and influencing decision‑making at regional and group level.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver reserve analyses for a diverse portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to quarterly reserving processes and support business planning activities.
• Provide insightful commentary on reserve movements, emerging trends and potential impacts.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across finance, underwriting and risk functions.
• Assist in developing and refining reserving strategies for multi‑jurisdictional operations.

Required profile

• Qualified actuary (or close to qualification) with proven experience in general insurance reserving.
• Strong technical capability and ability to communicate complex findings to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience in an international or multi‑jurisdictional environment is highly advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with actuarial software.
• Experience using data analysis tools.
