Resident Liaison Officer – Social Housing

About the role

The Resident Liaison Officer will act as the primary point of contact for tenants during planned refurbishment, maintenance and major works across social housing properties. You will build positive relationships, provide clear information and resolve any queries to ensure a smooth delivery of works.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned maintenance and Decent Homes programmes across Yorkshire, Sheffield, Hull, Rotherham, Northumberland and Liverpool.
• Conduct pre‑entry visits, collect tenancy agreements and approval forms.
• Visit tenants in their homes to explain the scope, timing and impact of works.
• Serve as the main contact for tenant enquiries, complaints and problem resolution.
• Liaise with neighbourhood housing associations and establish working relationships.
• Attend and chair tenant forum meetings to keep residents informed.

Required profile

• Full clean driving licence with own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across the specified regions.
• Proactive attitude with strong communication skills.
• Previous experience in social housing or construction projects is advantageous but not essential.
