Residential Building Surveyor – AssocRICS/MRICS

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Building Surveyor to join a respected surveying business in South West England. You will conduct RICS Level 2 Home Surveys on a variety of residential properties, delivering professional reports and managing your own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out RICS Level 2 Home Surveys on post‑war and modern residential properties.
• Produce accurate, iPad‑based inspection reports.
• Plan and manage daily survey appointments across Gloucester and surrounding areas.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, accuracy and client care.
• Communicate with clients when required and ensure a consistent weekly survey volume.

Required profile

• AssocRICS or MRICS qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering RICS Level 2 Home Surveys.
• Strong knowledge of post‑war and modern residential properties.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to cover Gloucester and surrounding areas.
• Experience using iPad‑based inspection and reporting software.
