Residential Care Manager

About the role

Join Avery Healthcare as a Residential Care Manager at Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Surrey. You will lead a team of Care Supervisors to ensure residents receive high‑quality personal care and support, while championing their wellbeing and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a group of Care Supervisors, fostering a high‑standard care environment.
• Coordinate resident assessments and ensure accurate, up‑to‑date care plans.
• Oversee equipment storage, cleaning and compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to the Safe Medication Management programme with robust auditing.
• Conduct Quality Care Spot Checks and report on care delivery by supervisors and carers.
• Act as an advocate for residents, promoting their best interests across all aspects of care.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 4 in Care or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum two years’ experience in long‑term or similar care settings.
• Strong understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards.
• Proven experience leading a care team.
• Demonstrates caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable values.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Safe Medication Management procedures.
• Familiarity with CQC Fundamental Standards.
