Residential Child Care Worker

About the role

Pebbles Care is seeking a compassionate Residential Child Care Worker to join its team of professionals supporting children aged 8‑18. You will live and work within a dedicated home, providing 24‑hour therapeutic care, daily living support, and enriching activities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive children to school, appointments and outings (full UK manual driving licence required).
• Prepare meals, manage household chores and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
• Deliver one‑to‑one or two‑to‑one therapeutic support tailored to each young person’s needs.
• Participate in shift‑based rota, averaging 56.4 hours per week including sleepovers.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team during induction and ongoing training.

Required profile

• Resilience to manage challenging behaviours while maintaining a caring approach.
• Commitment to a full‑time, on‑site role within a residential setting.
• Willingness to support other homes in the same geographical area when needed.
