Residential Childcare Worker (Part‑Time)

About the role
Join the residential team at Carraig View, a home on the edge of Port Glasgow offering stunning views of the Firth of Clyde. As a part‑time Residential Childcare Worker you will help create a safe, supportive environment where children and young people can thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality care in line with organisational policies and best practice.
- Support children and young people with daily routines, education and personal development.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
- Contribute to assessments, care planning and outcome‑focused reviews.
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with colleagues and external professionals.
Required profile
- Genuine commitment to supporting children and young people.
- Emotional resilience and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to hold or work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People).
- SSSC registration and PVG Scheme membership.
