Residential Children's Home Support Worker

About the role

A great opportunity to join an established care company that provides live‑in residential support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour. The team focuses on building life‑skills and offering emotional support to help young people become well‑rounded members of the community.

Key responsibilities

• Work on a rotating schedule (2 days on, 4 days off) providing live‑in support in a residential home for children and teenagers.
• Assist children with daily routines – preparing breakfast, dressing, school transport, laundry, cooking dinner, personal hygiene and bedtime.
• Provide emotional support and facilitate learning and development to create a stable, loving environment.

Required profile

• Live within commuting distance of St Helens and hold a full UK driving licence (own vehicle preferred).
• Hold or be working towards an NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce.
• Previous experience working in children’s residential homes or a similar setting.

What we offer

• Salary ranging from £13.49 to £15.02 per hour (higher rate with Level 3 qualification).
• £60 per sleep‑in shift and 224 hours of holiday per year, plus 2 extra days after two years of service.
• Bank holidays paid at 1.5×, private health care, and petrol reimbursement at 40p per mile.
