Residential Conveyancer – Devon Law Firm

About the role

We are expanding our residential conveyancing team across Devon and are looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join our offices in Newton Abbot, Torquay and surrounding locations. The role offers a stable workload, clear progression and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re‑mortgages, buy‑to‑let transactions and transfers of equity.
• Process new‑build, shared‑ownership, Help to Buy and probate‑related property sales.
• Maintain high service standards with strong administrative support and efficient systems.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEx), Licensed Conveyancer or experienced fee earner.
• Minimum 1 + year residential conveyancing experience (flexible for strong candidates).
• Ability to run a caseload independently from start to finish.
• Strong client‑care and organisational abilities.
