Residential Conveyancer

About the role

We are seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join a range of firms across Tyne and Wear. The role is full‑time and will involve managing a caseload of property transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, new builds, remortgages and shared ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Inherit and manage a portfolio of 40‑80 residential conveyancing matters.
• Handle sales and purchase transactions, transfer of equity, new‑build and remortgage work.
• Process shared‑ownership and other specialised residential deals.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with clients, solicitors and lenders.
• Utilise modern conveyancing systems to ensure efficient case progression.

Required profile

• Qualified conveyancer or solicitor, or a candidate with substantial work‑experience in residential conveyancing.
• Ability to work independently on a mixed caseload.
• Willingness to work in Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham or North Tyneside.

Required skills

• Knowledge of residential conveyancing processes and legislation.
