Residential Conveyancing Paralegal

About the role

Our client, a nationally recognised law firm, is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal for its Brighton office. This full‑time position offers hybrid/flexible working and the chance to work closely with an experienced fee‑earner on a varied portfolio of high‑quality real estate matters. Key responsibilities

• Manage live conveyancing files from instruction through post‑completion.
• Support a fee‑earner across all aspects of residential and commercial real estate work.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and other legal professionals.
• Conduct title reviews, raise enquiries and draft reports under supervision.
• Prepare financial statements and invoices.
• Complete file opening procedures and ensure AML compliance.
• Handle administrative tasks related to exchange, completion and post‑completion.
• Maintain internal and external records and systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in residential or commercial conveyancing within a legal environment.
• Solid understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion.
• Experience raising enquiries, reviewing replies and drafting reports (under supervision).
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Legal qualifications are desirable; support for further qualification is available.
