Residential Conveyancing Solicitor (NQ)

About the role

This position is with a long‑established law firm in Chelmsford, renowned across Essex for its property work. The newly qualified Residential Conveyancing Solicitor will join a busy, expanding residential property department and manage a full caseload of residential transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties.
• Process remortgages, lease extensions, transfers of equity and new‑build transactions.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, mortgage brokers and other external professionals.
• Use the firm’s case‑management system to track matters and deadlines.
• Contribute to marketing and business‑development activities.
• Deliver exceptional client care throughout each transaction.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with a minimum of 1 year post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of residential property law.
• Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to meet strict deadlines.
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft applications and case‑management software.
• Team‑player with a focus on high‑quality customer service.
