About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Development Partner to lead our Sevenoaks office. The role combines high‑level client strategy, practice growth and team leadership within a top‑50 UK law firm renowned for real estate and development work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Sevenoaks Residential Development team.
• Drive growth and raise the practice’s profile across the South East.
• Develop new workstreams, acquire clients and expand into new markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, landowners and investors.
• Represent the firm in business development, networking and thought‑leadership activities.
• Collaborate with partners across the wider real‑estate group.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing team of lawyers.

Required profile

• Significant post‑qualification experience in residential development law, gained at a city, regional or national firm.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to advise sophisticated development clients pragmatically.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Experience leading and growing legal teams, including mentoring senior lawyers.
