Residential Home Manager

About the role

This is a senior leadership position overseeing a residential care home that specialises in dementia and complex needs support. The successful candidate will own operational and regulatory responsibility, ensuring the service delivers person‑centred care that exceeds CQC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.
• Maintain full CQC compliance, preparing for inspections and driving continuous improvement.
• Shape a positive, accountable culture where staff feel valued and residents experience dignity.
• Manage budgets, occupancy levels, and resource allocation without compromising quality.
• Engage with families, commissioners, and the local community to build trust and reputation.
• Champion innovation and best practice in dementia and complex needs care.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager in residential or older‑people care.
• Deep, up‑to‑date knowledge of dementia care and complex needs support.
• Extensive familiarity with CQC regulations and a track record of successful inspections.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance quality with financial sustainability.
• Robust governance and audit skills.
• Excellent communication style that builds relationships with staff, residents, families and external partners.
