Residential Property Conveyancer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Residential Property Conveyancer to join a well‑established law firm in Chelmsford. You will manage a diverse caseload of residential property transactions, providing expert legal advice and exceptional client care.

Key responsibilities

• Handle sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties.
• Process remortgages, lease extensions, transfers of equity and new‑build transactions.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, mortgage lenders and other external professionals.
• Utilise the firm’s case management system to track matters and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives.
• Deliver high‑quality client service and meet strict deadlines.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive.
• Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience in residential property conveyancing.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team and manage client relationships.

Required skills

• Residential property conveyancing knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using case management systems.
