Residential Property Lawyer / Conveyancer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to join our niche, forward‑thinking firm. You will own a dynamic caseload of leasehold sales and purchases, working closely with clients and third‑party professionals to deliver high‑quality conveyancing from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of ~60 residential leasehold transactions.
• Conduct pre‑contract enquiries, title investigations and advise on covenants, easements and other title issues.
• Prepare and review contracts, transfer deeds, certificates and related documentation.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, surveyors and other parties to progress transactions to completion.
• Perform anti‑money‑laundering checks and adhere to regulatory and firm risk procedures.
• Provide clear, regular updates to clients and ensure a high standard of client care.
• Support junior fee‑earners and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer, or extensive experience in residential conveyancing.
• Proven experience handling leasehold conveyancing matters.
• Good working knowledge of Land Registry processes and title documentation.
• Strong client‑care skills with the ability to explain complex legal information clearly.
• Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and a risk‑aware approach.
