Residential Property Lawyer / Licensed Conveyancer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Lawyer or Licensed Conveyancer to join our forward‑thinking law firm. You will own a dynamic caseload of around 60 residential conveyancing matters from start to finish, working closely with our support teams and using our in‑house technology.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residential leasehold sale and purchase transactions.
• Conduct pre‑contract enquiries, title investigations and advise on covenants, easements and other title issues.
• Prepare and review contracts, transfer deeds, certificates and related documentation.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, surveyors and other third parties to progress transactions to completion.
• Undertake anti‑money‑laundering checks and comply with regulatory and firm risk procedures.
• Provide clear updates to clients throughout the transaction and ensure a high standard of client care.
• Support junior fee‑earners and contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer or equivalent experience in residential conveyancing.
• Proven experience handling leasehold conveyancing matters.
• Good working knowledge of Land Registry processes and title documentation.
• Strong client‑care skills with the ability to communicate complex legal information clearly.
• Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a risk‑aware approach to work.
