Residential Registered Manager

About the role

Bay View Child Care, part of the Polaris Community, is seeking an experienced, child‑focused Registered Manager to lead its established children’s home in Slyne, Lancashire. The home provides care for four young people aged 8‑18 with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the residential team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and achieve Good to Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement through reflective practice and professional development initiatives.
• Manage budgets, staffing, and recruitment in partnership with the central recruitment team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a children’s residential setting.
• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to child‑focused care.
• Ability to work within established systems and frameworks while influencing wider organisational initiatives.
• Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
