Residential Support Worker

About the role

Join a small, dedicated team providing residential childcare support for young people with complex needs. You will work on a 3‑on‑3‑off day shift pattern (7:00 am‑7:30 pm) in a rolling rota, delivering hands‑on care and guidance in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist young people with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation and household tasks.
• Build positive relationships and provide emotional support to foster self‑esteem and independence.
• Supervise activities and ensure safety, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents and any changes in behaviour or health.
• Collaborate with staff, social workers and families to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Required profile

• Previous experience in care or residential settings (desirable but not essential).
• Valid driving licence.
• NVQ Level 3 in residential care preferred.
• Strong non‑verbal communication skills.
