Residential Support Worker

About the role

Join a dedicated team delivering therapeutic residential care for children in Reading. You will work in a large, nurturing home that follows the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) to support positive outcomes for up to three children at a time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, therapeutic care aligned with the PACE model.
• Lead shifts, supervising and mentoring a team of Support Workers.
• Support the emotional and physical wellbeing of children, helping them achieve their potential.
• Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and day‑to‑day home management.
• Ensure the home meets regulatory standards and follows safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in a children’s residential care setting.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of therapeutic practices and safeguarding policies.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
