About the Role

Join the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as a Respiratory Clinical Research Fellow, a unique position designed to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and cutting-edge medical research. Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care within the respiratory medicine department across multiple Trust sites.
  • Support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of respiratory clinical trials.
  • Engage in all stages of clinical research management, including study setup, patient recruitment, and informed consent processes.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to pharmacovigilance, clinical investigations, and research governance protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of research nurses, principal investigators, clinical trial pharmacists, and study coordinators.
  • Manage patient follow-up and data integrity throughout the research lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

  • Must be fully registered with the UK General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Previous experience working within the NHS is essential.
  • Successful completion of Foundation Training is required.
  • A strong interest in respiratory medicine and clinical research methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
