Restaurant Assistant Manager

About the role

Tim Hortons is seeking a proactive Restaurant Assistant Manager to support daily operations in its Cambridge location. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to ensure smooth service, profitability, and a welcoming environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze budgets and implement strategies to boost restaurant profits.
• Evaluate and monitor daily operations and staff performance.
• Plan, organize, and oversee daily activities, including staff recruitment and scheduling.
• Supervise, train, and conduct performance reviews for a team of 11‑15 employees.
• Balance cash, complete balance sheets, and prepare cash reports.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Address customer complaints, provide excellent service, and uphold brand standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
• Accurate, dependable, and client‑focused.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Flexible team player able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Electronic cash register operation.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook.
