Restaurant Manager – Fine Dining (AA Rosette)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the front‑of‑house team at a celebrated 2 AA Rosette fine‑dining restaurant set in the countryside between Billericay and Chelmsford. The role involves delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the high standards for which the venue is renowned.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day restaurant operations and front‑of‑house activities.
• Deliver consistently high levels of customer service.
• Recruit, train, mentor and motivate staff members.
• Manage rotas, staffing levels and ensure appropriate coverage.
• Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and senior management.
• Monitor stock, assist with cost control and budgeting.
• Handle guest feedback and ensure complete satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and licensing regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager or Food & Beverage Manager in a fine‑dining, luxury hotel or high‑end hospitality venue.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine and premium service standards.
• Hands‑on approach with genuine passion for hospitality.
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential due to location).
