Restaurant Manager

About the role

As a Restaurant Manager at Dobbies, you will lead both kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to deliver an outstanding dining experience. You will be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, driving commercial performance, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, covering both kitchen and front‑of‑house activities.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team focused on delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Manage stock levels, minimise waste and guarantee the kitchen is fully equipped.
• Support in‑store events such as seasonal highlights and regular fixtures.
• Communicate with central support teams to maintain smooth operations and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with the wider Garden Centre Management team to achieve commercial targets and a safe workplace.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality with proven restaurant management experience.
• Commercial awareness, ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
• Strong track record in stock control and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Ability to identify training needs and coach staff to deliver first‑class service.
• Adaptable, positive and able to lead change across seasonal periods.
