Retail Assistant – Part‑Time (Barrow‑in‑Furness)

About the role

Join Farmfoods as a part‑time Retail Assistant in Barrow‑in‑Furness, working a minimum of 16 hours across three days each week. You’ll be the friendly face of the store, helping customers find products, operating the tills and keeping the shop tidy.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide friendly assistance.
• Operate tills efficiently, offering help with packing and checkout.
• Handle deliveries, stock shelves and freezers, and maintain product presentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and tidy shop environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete daily and weekly routines.

Required profile

• Positive, hard‑working attitude and enjoyment of a busy environment.
• Reliability and willingness to support a small team.
• Flexibility to adapt shift patterns when needed.
• Ability to balance work with studies, family or other commitments.
