Retail Manager – Car Dealership (Bristol)

About the role

We are seeking a Retail Manager to lead our Chery dealership in Brislington, Bristol. The role involves overseeing all aspects of retail sales, finance, insurance and value‑added products, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Drive gross profit across the dealership by managing sales, finance and insurance operations.
• Provide expert advice to customers on finance, insurance, warranties and other dealership services.
• Ensure all customer agreements are clear, accurate and FCA‑compliant.
• Coach, develop and support the sales team to achieve targets.
• Prepare and submit financial proposals to nominated lenders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with manufacturer and finance house requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a retail manager, sales manager or similar role, preferably within the motor trade.
• Proven record of sales achievement with strong finance sales performance.
• Highly organised with attention to detail to ensure FCA compliance.
• Confident communicator able to discuss individual and corporate financing needs.
• Motivated to develop and lead a sales team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance.
• Understanding of vehicle finance, insurance and warranty products.
