Retail Sales Assistant (Edinburgh)

About the role

Join Topps Tiles as a Retail Sales Assistant in Edinburgh, helping customers bring their tile projects to life. You’ll work in a supportive small team, using a consultative approach to guide shoppers from inspiration to purchase.

Key responsibilities

• Build lasting relationships with trade and retail customers through a consultative sales approach.
• Ask the right questions to understand customer needs and recommend the best products.
• Use creativity to inspire customers with colour, style, layout and design ideas.
• Drive sales by leveraging expert product knowledge and confidently closing transactions.
• Maintain a tidy store environment and assist with stock handling, including lifting heavy boxes.

Required profile

• Friendly, outgoing and energetic personality.
• Willingness to learn about tiles and retail processes.
• Ability to work 15 hours per week, including occasional weekends.
• Age 21+ (or 20 and below with adjusted hourly rate).

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required.
