Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

Join Topps Tiles as a Sales Assistant in our Beckenham store, helping customers bring their tiling projects to life. You’ll work as part of a small, supportive team, providing advice and inspiration while driving store revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting tiles, designs and accessories that suit their projects.
• Provide product knowledge and practical advice to both trade and retail clients.
• Process sales transactions and handle cash responsibly.
• Maintain a tidy, well‑stocked sales floor and assist with occasional stock handling.
• Build and nurture relationships with regular trade customers.

Required profile

• Friendly, outgoing attitude with a positive approach to customer service.
• Ability to lift and move heavy boxes of tiles when needed.
• Availability to work 20 hours per week, including some weekends.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

Required skills

• Basic numeracy for handling cash and calculating commissions.
