Retail Sales Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role

Join Topps Tiles as a Sales Assistant (internally called a Service Specialist) in our Longwell Green store. You’ll work in a small, supportive team, helping customers visualise their projects and find the right tiles using a consultative sales approach. The role offers a regular schedule with no late‑evening shifts and three days off at Christmas.

Key responsibilities

• Build long‑standing relationships with trade and retail customers.
• Ask the right questions to understand needs and recommend suitable products.
• Use creativity to inspire customers with colour, style, layout and design ideas.
• Drive sales through expert product knowledge.
• Confidently close sales and maximise every opportunity.

Required profile

• No prior retail or tile experience required.
• Outgoing, friendly and energetic personality.
• Willingness to lift heavy boxes and work on the shop floor.
• Motivation to develop sales confidence through training.
